About Peter Tilgner

“A photograph revels as much about the photographer as it does the photographed.”

Peter’s work as a photographer began during his 37-year career as a middle school art educator, where he developed a curriculum in photography that encompassed film and darkroom processing and photo composition. Since retiring, the mainstay of his creative endeavors has been digital photographic image making.

“I see the world around me as picture possibilities. Subject matter, light, and composition are constantly being played out in my mind. When the subject is right I photograph it. Collections of these images are the source material for my work.”
