About Peter Tilgner

“A photograph reveals as much about the photographer as it does the photographed.”

Peter’s work as a photographer began during his thirty-seven-year career as a middle school art educator, where he developed a curriculum in photography, albeit film and darkroom processing and photo composition. Since retiring, digital photographic image making has been the mainstay of his creative endeavors.

“I see the world around me as picture possibilities. Subject matter, light, and composition are constantly being played out in my mind. When the subject is right I photograph it. Collection of these images are the source material for my work.”
